Ward P. Griffin serves as Counsel with the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission, Office of General Counsel, in Washington, D.C. Prior to joining the CFTC in October 2008, Ward served in various positions with the U.S. Merit Systems Protection Board. A native of the Tampa area, Ward earned a B.S. in finance and a B.A. in history from the University of Florida, and earned a J.D. from the William and Mary School of Law, where he was a member of the Law Review and Editor-in-Chief of the William and Mary Bill of Rights Journal. In addition to his service to the Government Lawyer Section, Ward serves on the Board of Governors of The Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division and on the Executive Council of The Florida Bar Out of State Division.
