Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office – Contract Attorney Position (On-site)

The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office (“MDSO”), located in Doral, Florida, seeks an experienced Florida licensed attorney to assist in the provision of contractual legal services. This position will have a strong emphasis on drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide variety of transactional instruments for MDSO, including intergovernmental agreements, grant funding contracts, leases, and procurement solicitation documents and contracts. Primary responsibilities include the ability to advise MDSO entities on legal issues concerning contract formation and interpretation, public procurement requirements, ethics, and compliance with local/state/federal laws and grant conditions. Duties also include reviewing and drafting procurement policies and procedures. Applicants should be capable of handling all stages of contract drafting, negotiations, and amendments. Prior experience as legal counsel for local or state government is preferred. Annual Salary Range: $118,450.08 - $200,850.00.
